The 3rd EU Energy Summit titled \”An EU Energy Policy benefiting Citizens, Consumers and Businesses\”, organised by Business Bridge Europe and the European Business Summit (EBS) and took place in Brussels at the Egmont Palace on 28th March 2017. The Energy Summit was targeted to a high-level political and business audience and covered key themes relevant to the energy sector. The Summit was an excellent opportunity to discuss the very recent EU initiatives and their impact on the energy market. Also debated how the EU could encourage and support the efforts required from the European economic and social actors to face major challenges: innovative technologies to boost decarbonisation and energy efficiency, new electricity market design and integration of renewable energy, mobilisation of public and private capital, promotion of smart cities and consumers’ empowerment, widening and strengthening of the energy systems’ resilience, etc. In the Summit participated Mrs Anthi Charalambous, Head of Energy & Environment Division of OEB.
