The Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) and the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming to support, strengthen and develop entrepreneurship in Cyprus. This cooperation is expected to strengthen the co-ordination and the already close relationship between the two Organizations.
The cooperation includes exchange of experts from the two bodies, and promotion of conferences and workshops of specialised nature .
OEB and TEPAK will assist in the implementation of joint education programs involving students and academic staff as well as entrepreneurs with the ultimate goal of disseminating knowledge on broader corporate governance issues as well as in areas where the University and OEB have specialised know-how. OEB may provide experienced staff for special presentations to the students of TEPAK.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Professor Andreas Anayiotos, Rector of TEPAK and the Chairman of OEB, Mr. Christos Michailides. Both Mr Michaelides and Mr Anayiotos stressed the importance of cooperation between academia and businesses, for the progress and prosperity of the country.
At the signing of the Memorandum, TEPAK was represented by the Rector Professor Andreas Anayiotos, Deputy Chancellor of Economic Planning and Development Professor Christis Chrysostomou, the Director of Management and Finance, Dr Costas Hoppas, while OEB was represented by the Chairman Mr Christos Michailides, Director General Mr Michalis Antoniou, Deputy Director General Mr Costas Christosfides and Director of Research, Training & European Programmes Department Mr Petros Petrou.
